Martyn Blake – who denies murder – shot Mr Kaba through a car windscreen during a police stop in south London in September 2022.

He said he shot the 24 year old because he feared that “one or more” officers might be killed. Ria Chatterjee was in court.

  9. Well he's not posing an imminent threat now is he.

  10. Ok, he was a criminal, but the lack of empathy for human life in the comments is alarming. Is it because he is too dark for some people? Yeah, maybe a bad seed and no brains. Maybe even better, he is off the streets, but a man still died. I can't fault the police though. I hope he doesn't have to lose his job or anything like that.

  11. Easy to make a decision after the event when there is no immediate pressure. No wonder police are handing in their weapons.

  12. If the car was hemmed means it did mph over a distance of a few metres. Sounds like he had the accelerator down.

  13. A Bet There Won't Be A Riot For This Case?!

  14. Isn't he the guy from the new assassin's creed?

  15. 8mph is excessive speed for reversing.

  16. Was not posing imminent danger, from someone who wasn't there. Just another black career criminal made out to be the victim.
The lefty C4 News is taking the side as always of terrorists and black career criminals.

  17. The police acted in good faith that’s all I need to know
The guy killed was known to police drug dealing and a known carrier of fire arms
He fkd about and found out

  18. 'imminent' – ready to take place; happening soon: define 'ready' and 'soon'.

  19. Remember to mass report this for fake news and trying to indicate violence 👍

  20. BLM ✊🏿 😂😂😂😂

  21. Here comes the so called experts Let the judges and jurry do their job you are not experts

  22. Another loss to architecture?

  23. She is still crying, after her son was got rid off in 2022? Please!
Listen, I know that justice should not be served on the streets, but sometimes it is necessary to prevent further crime. We heard the story at the time. Kaba was involved in criminality. The car had been "flagged". All the indicators were that the vehicle and driver/occupant could present a danger to the public. He didn't comply with police instructions, however unjustified he thought they may have been. Complying could have saved his life and also allowed for a possible complaint afterwards.
I am personally sick of hearing this every time a black criminal gets wiped out. Would we be so activated if it was Dave Perkins, a white bloke from Dunstable, or Simon Taylor from Bideford, a ginger-haired Devonian? Would there be any enquiry/Court case? No, of course not, because neither Dave nor Simon would ever have been a slave, or suffered the trauma of oppression, lack of opportunity and generational/institutional racism. Total and utter bull-sh*t, the lot of it.
This was a bad boy, who knew the risks of what he was involved in. That day, he refused to comply.

  24. Diversity yay! 🌈

  25. But he's a spade and there is no work in the cotton field

  26. Was starmer the case judge after all he would not prosecute Jimmy saville or the Rotherham grooming gangs. Well done to the police officer who took responsibility in this situation if a car had been used for crime previously why get into it.obviosly he wasnt prepared it would have been triggered on the police anp

  27. Would an innocent man try and run the police over?
