Konate said the three points was the 'more' important thing, but not 'more important than the result'… he is French and in this context their word for more and most is the same word so french people say more when they mean most… he was basically saying the same thing players and managers say week in week out "we got the three points and that's the most important thing" but the anchorman doesnt have to know french to realise interviews with foreign players come with a language barrier and he shouldn't think it means what his impression of what it means is.. but more importantly he should have seen that Konate also talked about the performance and what they needed to improve on and this guy has given his manager the complete wrong impression of konate as a player who doesn't think they need to improve after his gaffe and a performance liverpool fans will feel should be better.
Konate was clearly joking when he said he should be man of the match. He jokes around like that all the time. It really is unprofessional to spin things to Slot the way this anchorman does even if it was inadvertent.
